Shelving Installer

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Install wire and wood closet components into new and existing homes and buildings

  • Install garage organization solutions

  • Install other items as required

  • Receive shelving orders and assist with stocking inventory

  • Measuring closets

  • Maintaining the company vehicle and keeping it stocked in preparation for the day’s jobs

  • Complying with company safety expectations and procedures

  • Communicating effectively and precisely with other team members, Management, home owners and builders

  • Doing high quality work with attention to detail and efficiency

  • Other miscellaneous duties as required

Position Requirements:

  • No previous experience is required.  Training will be provided upon hiring

  • A current driver’s licence and clean driving record (to be presented)

  • Ability to use and read a tape measure with accuracy

  • Proficient use of hand tools

  • Physically fit - able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs

  • Ability to read floor plans and blueprints

  • Ability to work well with others and work independently with accuracy, precision and attention to detail

  • Respectful, positive, hard-working and responsible individual

  • Reliable and punctual with good attendance

Work Hours and Pay:

  • Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 (generally, depending on daily jobs)

  • Pay is calculated on the basis of “piece work” ranging from the equivalent of  $20 - $30+/ hour, depending on the job.

  • General shop labour time is $20/hr.

  • Pay periods are every two weeks.

  • Company benefits plan is available after a three month probationary period has been completed.
