"Signature Series", Canadian Closet's own line of custom designed melamine cabinetry, is manufactured on site here in Red Deer County. We use 3/4" furniture grade melamine in a wide variety of finishes. We know that one size does not fit all, which is why you no longer have to try to make your space fit the product.

When it comes to choosing handles and accessories, we use Canadian-made products from reputable manufacturers because quality is of the utmost importance to us.

So whether your customer desires a new custom closet, home office, entry bench, vanity, laundry or garage cabinets, we will take them through the process from start to finish.

How to Get Started

Even though your customer is requesting a custom cabinetry project, we endeavour to make the process as simple as possible. Following are the steps and information to planning, creating and delivering your customer’s custom project ready for installation.

1. Create and send a “plan view” and measured diagram of the space to hello@canadiancloset.ca.
   Please include:

   • Measurements - see “How to measure a space”

     • Wall measurements

     • Baseboards - if baseboard is already installed two options exist:

       • Remove/cut out baseboards

       • we notch out gables to clear baseboards

     • Window measurements

     • Ceiling height

     • Obstacles to consider - plug-ins, registers, light switches, etc.

     • Door swing

     • Flooring type

     • Wood or steel construction

   • Any photos of the space as they are extremely helpful, especially when unique footprint, ceiling angles, windows, ductwork, etc. are involved.

   • Customer storage requirements such as what types of items they want stored, how they want it stored (hung/folded/drawers), and quantities of said items.

2. Once we receive your email, Canadian Closet will prepare a proposal design and send it to you for alterations and, ultimately, approval.

   • At this time, if your client would like to come in to decide on finishes and accessories, such as handles and lighting, we highly recommend they book an appointment to ensure one of our custom design specialists is available.

   • If coming in is not an option, we can schedule a Google Meet or Zoom video consultation to help the client choose finishes.

3. Once approved, the project will be placed into the manufacturing queue.

Lead Time

Production time may vary but is usually within 6 - 8 weeks.

Shipping

• Because every order varies in size and weight, freight will be determined once the order is crated and palletized.

• You will be contacted prior to shipping to pay the order’s balance owing and also be given any available tracking information.

  • Please note that shipping times are out of our control and will be up to the shipping company.

• We ship directly to you, ready to install. Everything required for installation will be included in your order.
